‘CONNECTIONS’ showcases an exciting collection of artworks by members of STUDIO 16, a group of local artists who make work in the purpose built studio of Laura and David Froude - Froude & Froude

Recently shown in Whitstable, but now including some new works, this exhibition of works by Jeanette Cook, Sue Bridge and Zel Hunt showcases an array of creative expression to include painting, sculpture, fused glass, drawing and film.
Over the last year, my fellow artists Sue Bridge and Zel Hunt and I have been meeting often, walking in various landscapes, or sitting together discussing our work, and the various things that inspire and excites us to create our work. In this carefully curated exhibition we will be showing sculpture, fused glass, paintings, drawings and more ……..

Jeanette Cook and Zel Hunt are inspired by the cyclical rhythms of the natural world, the patterns of growth and decay; birth, death and rebirth. Here they examine how these patterns can affect human life, the secrets and mysteries of what is hidden and what is revealed. Their work follows these connecting threads and weaves them into both real and imagined worlds.
Works include abstracted images in paintings of local landscapes, biomorphic sculptures and organing images in fused glass

Jeanette Cook and Zel Hunt revisit their Liminal Spaces exhibition (held in Folkestone last year). Working across painting, sculpture and fused glass works, they explore the physical, emotional and metaphysical implications of thresholds - the places of transition, where profound transformations may occur.
